Environmental protection concept

Promoting a green and environmentally friendly lifestyle in all aspects

Responsibility Concept

Garwoods has always focused on expanding its electric cooker business, aiming to transform a household electric cooker into an "eco-friendly product" for cooking, thereby raising awareness and understanding of the importance of "green cooking" for environmental protection, energy conservation, and healthy eating. Electric cookers not only cook food but also do not produce toxic pollutants released during combustion, reducing indoor air pollution. Furthermore, electric cookers heat directly from the bottom of the pot, resulting in high heat transfer efficiency, making them faster and more fuel-efficient than conventional cookers. Therefore, Garwoods is committed to bringing more "socially and environmentally friendly" and "resource-saving" green cooking concepts to its electric cooker business.

Development and Design

The third phase of the Mandatory Energy Efficiency Labelling Scheme was fully implemented in December 2019, with induction cookers being one of the products covered by the scheme. Prior to the scheme's implementation, Garwoods had already obtained the Mandatory Energy Efficiency Label for all its induction cooker products in accordance with the requirements of the Hong Kong Electrical and Mechanical Services Department. Furthermore, its product model EC-7128IC became the first in Hong Kong to receive a Level 1 Energy Efficiency Label. This demonstrates Garwoods' passion for product development and technology.

In the near future, Garwoods will continue its efforts to develop specialized technologies and processes for electric cookers, combining their precision structures and electronic technology to ensure that all its electric cooker products meet the standards of the Energy Efficiency Labelling Program. Our philosophy is to provide users with a green and environmentally friendly cooking solution, thereby reducing electricity consumption and conserving social resources.

Hong Kong Green Mark

Garwoods induction cookers have obtained the "Hong Kong Green Mark" issued by the Hong Kong Certification Centre, confirming that their induction cookers are "environmentally friendly products," making it easier for consumers to identify high-quality "environmentally friendly products."

To meet the requirements for "environmentally friendly products" through assessment, the following two aspects are mainly considered:

In terms of environmental protection , smokeless cooking does not produce toxic pollutants released by gas combustion, which can reduce pollution to indoor air.

In terms of energy saving , induction cookers heat directly from the bottom of the pot, resulting in high heat transfer efficiency and faster cooking and lower fuel costs compared to conventional stoves.

Regarding the "Hong Kong Green Label"

Public awareness of environmental protection and health is growing, and the market is flooded with a wide variety of environmentally friendly products. The Hong Kong Certification Centre has launched the "Hong Kong Green Mark" to provide assurance for citizens when choosing environmentally friendly products. The "Hong Kong Green Mark" is designed to ensure that the production process meets environmental requirements, conducting a "green" assessment of product design and environmental management in production.

**Applicable to certain models; please refer to the product specifications.
# The "Energy Label" must reach Level "2" or above.

Other environmental protection aspects

In mid-2021, Garwoods designed a brand-new "Product ID Card" to replace the original paper-printed "Product Care Certificate," "Product Instruction Manual," and "Ceramic Glass Panel Care Guide," thereby reducing paper waste and conserving resources. This product ID card includes three QR codes on its inner pages, allowing users to instantly register product care online, access product instructions, and learn how to care for their ceramic glass panels. The goal is simply to promote "Resource Conservation | Paper Saving."
