Environmental protection concept

Promoting a green and environmentally friendly lifestyle in all aspects

Responsibility Concept

Garwoods has always focused on expanding its electric cooker business, aiming to transform a household electric cooker into an "eco-friendly product" for cooking, thereby raising awareness and understanding of the importance of "green cooking" for environmental protection, energy conservation, and healthy eating. Electric cookers not only cook food but also do not produce toxic pollutants released during combustion, reducing indoor air pollution. Furthermore, electric cookers heat directly from the bottom of the pot, resulting in high heat transfer efficiency, making them faster and more fuel-efficient than conventional cookers. Therefore, Garwoods is committed to bringing more "socially and environmentally friendly" and "resource-saving" green cooking concepts to its electric cooker business.

Development and Design

The third phase of the Mandatory Energy Efficiency Labelling Scheme was fully implemented in December 2019, and induction cookers were among the products covered by the scheme. Garwoods had already taken the lead in labeling all its induction cookers according to the "Hong Kong Electrical and Mechanical Services Department" guidelines prior to the scheme's implementation.
The product was awarded the "Mandatory Energy Efficiency Label" in accordance with the requirements, and the product model EC-7128IC became the first in Hong Kong to be awarded the "Level 1 Energy Efficiency Label". It is conceivable that Garwoods is passionate about product development and technology.

In the near future, Garwoods will continue its efforts to develop specialized technologies and processes for electric cookers, combining their precision structures and electronic technology to ensure that all its electric cooker products meet the standards of the Energy Efficiency Labelling Program. Our philosophy is to provide users with a green and environmentally friendly cooking solution, thereby reducing electricity consumption and conserving social resources.

Hong Kong Green Mark

Garwoods induction cookers have obtained the "Hong Kong Green Mark" accreditation from the Hong Kong Certification Centre, confirming that their induction cookers are "environmentally friendly products."
The goal is to make it easier for consumers to identify high-quality "eco-friendly products".

To meet the requirements for "environmentally friendly products" through assessment, the following two aspects are mainly considered:

In terms of environmental protection , smokeless cooking does not produce toxic pollutants released by gas combustion, which can reduce pollution to indoor air.

In terms of energy saving , induction cookers heat directly from the bottom of the pot, resulting in high heat transfer efficiency and faster cooking and lower fuel costs compared to conventional stoves.

Regarding the "Hong Kong Green Label"

Public awareness of environmental protection and health is growing, and the market is flooded with a wide variety of environmentally friendly products. The Hong Kong Certification Centre has launched the "Hong Kong Green Mark" to provide assurance for citizens when choosing environmentally friendly products. The "Hong Kong Green Mark" is designed to ensure that the production process meets environmental requirements, conducting a "green" assessment of product design and environmental management in production.

**Applicable to certain models; please refer to the product specifications.

# The "Energy Label" must reach Level "2" or above.

Other environmental protection aspects

In mid-2021, Garwoods designed a brand-new "Product ID Card" to replace the original paper-printed "Product Care Certificate," "Product Instruction Manual," and "Ceramic Glass Panel Care Guide," thereby reducing paper consumption and conserving resources.
This product's identification page includes three QR codes. By scanning these codes, users can instantly register for product maintenance online, access the product manual, and learn how to care for the ceramic glass panel. The purpose is simply to promote "cherishing resources | saving paper."

Innovation and Technology

Garwoods has always strived for excellence, focusing on product quality and technology, and continuously developing new technologies to provide
families with high-quality, high-performance, and easy-to-use branded products.

Our professional R&D team continuously advances innovation and technology in all aspects of electric cookers, constantly innovating and enhancing users' confidence in Garwoods brand products by combining the two different electric cooking modes of electromagnetic and electroceramic cooking, from hardware to specialized technology.

Our electric cooker series** features a newly developed "Half-bridge Ultra Technology" in the induction cooker/induction cooking zone of 2 in 1 electric cooker, and the infrared cooker/infrared cooking zone of 2 in 1 electric cooker will feature a superior "intelligent triple-ring" heating element.

Experience instant heating and uninterrupted cooking with the all-new
"Half-Bridge Ultra Technology".

Garwoods induction cooker/induction cooking zone of 2 in 1 electric cooker features a newly developed, proprietary "Half-bridge Ultra Technology" in their electromagnetic cooking zones.

This technology fully leverages the key features of half-bridge technology, enhancing heating speed and optimizing usage time, allowing you to experience a truly different cooking effect and easily prepare various delicious dishes.

Intermittent heat cooking technology

The "uninterrupted power cooking technology" in "half-bridge ultra technology" is
different from induction cookers on the market that are limited by power output. When cooking at the highest power, the "power boost function" is often limited in time, making it impossible to complete a delicious meal at the same highest power.

When cooking at low heat, the heat output is intermittent, with cooking time varying and intensity. However, this technology truly ensures a continuous and stable power output regardless of whether the highest, lowest, or any other heat setting is selected, without being restricted by time limits, allowing for precise cooking of every delicious dish.

Power heating speed

Another key feature of the "half-bridge ultra technology" is its "power heating speed". Because the output power is concentrated and the heating speed is fast, the cooking time can be reduced by up to 1/5 compared to a conventional induction cooker.

Significant heat dissipation and ventilation effects

The application of "half-bridge ultra technology" can effectively avoid power dissipation, improve energy efficiency, reduce component wear during heat dissipation and exhaust, and maintain a more stable and durable internal component structure.

Low standby power consumption

Adhering to Garwoods' consistent commitment to environmental protection
and energy conservation, we pay particular attention to the power consumption
of our products in standby mode. Therefore, our "half-bridge ultra technology" consumes significantly less power in standby mode than traditional induction cookers, making it more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.

The pot can still be used even if the bottom is deformed.

Some cookware with thin bottoms is prone to deformation when used at high temperatures for extended periods, leading to poor contact between
the bottom of the cookware and the glass panel of the induction cooker,
affecting cooking. However, the "half-bridge ultra technology" concentrates power output, allowing even deformed cookware to continue to be used.

The "intelligent triple ring system" function allows you to select different heat levels, ensuring even heat penetration to the bottom of the cookware.

The infrared cooker/infrared cooking zone of the 2 in 1 electric cooker features a brand-new "intelligent three-ring system" design from the German EGO heating element. It uses a self-developed application to create 7 different heating modes with varying heat levels, evenly penetrating the bottom of the cookware from the inside out to meet the different heat requirements of users, especially those who prefer to simmer slowly over low heat for a long time.

Brand collaboration

Garwoods has particularly strict requirements for the quality of its electric cookers. The ceramic glass top and heating element used in its products are carefully selected, with high quality being the top priority.

EuroKera, a French manufacturer of high-end ceramic glass cooktop
and microcrystalline glass solutions; Kanger, a Wenzhou-based microcrystalline glass company; and EGO, a German company, are all major suppliers and long-term partners for ceramic glass top and heating element, and have established a
good understanding and trust with each other.
